The official check-in time is from 3.00 p.m to 11 p.m.
We are personally there for you from 7 a.m. - 11 p.m.
After that, our Self Check-In stations are at your disposal.

If you arrive earlier, we will do everything we can so that you can get into your room as early as possible. In the meantime, you can have a drink at our bar, play a little pool, relax in our garden or use the free public transport ticket to explore the city a little. We will store your luggage securely in our luggage room.

Of course, we are here for you! We are personally there for you every day from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
After that, you can use our Self Check-In stations in the foyer.
Please have our 6-digit confirmation number ready for a self check-in, as you will need it for the self check-in. You will find all relevant information in our Hyve booking confirmation email.
IMPORTANT: You must have paid for your room in full by 20:00 on the day of your arrival, otherwise we will not be able to check you in. If you do not have a credit card, please contact us as soon as possible.
From 7:00 a.m. you will be welcomed by the hosts at the reception with a delicious breakfast.

Although we will be sorry to say goodbye to you, check-out is by 10.30 a.m. You can of course stay for longer and use our bar or communal spaces. We can store your luggage for you.

Not all of them. We offer special rooms just for ladies which you can book online or by telephone.

If you book one of our private rooms, you can be certain that you can stay together. Private rooms are available to smaller groups of 2 to 8 people. For a larger group, you can increase your chance of sharing accommodation by booking here. If you have already booked independently, you can contact us and inform us of your preferences. We would be happy to accommodate your accommodation requirements as far as we can.

Of course! In the entrance area on the ground floor, you can enjoy your breakfast from 7:00 a.m to 11:30 a.m.

Inside it is, yes. If you wish, you can smoke outside or on the terrace of your private room.

We offer free-of-charge, super-fast Internet access in the whole building. You do not require a password.

Yes. Fresh towels are provided as a standard for every guest.

Yes. You can hire hairdryers and irons at reception free of charge. You will be asked for a deposit which will be returned to you when you return the item you have borrowed. You can buy an adapter or a lock for CHF 10.

Yes. Our washing machines and dryers are available to you for CHF 5 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. If you are in a hurry (or you don’t want to do your washing yourself), we are happy to recommend one of the local laundries to you. Please ask the host about this.

Yes, of course it is open from 7 a.m to 10 p.m! But if you don’t want to cook for yourself, just visit our bar which is located on the ground floor; here, you will find affordable meals and fantastic drinks.

For the security of our guests and their property, we offer the following options:
luggage storage, lockable cupboards in the communal rooms*, chip entry cards for every room, on-site host. You can hand in valuable items at reception for storage in the safe.
* Please use your own lock or purchase one from the host.

We accept cash in the local currency of Swiss francs or in euros. You can also pay with a credit or debit card with no additional fees (EC, Visa, Visa Electron, EuroCard/MasterCard or Diners Club).

If you don’t have a credit card, unfortunately we are only able to inform you about unoccupied rooms and the price tariff of the hotel. The only exception where we accept reservations without a card is if you prepay via bank transfer or make a cash payment at reception.

Yes. If you require a booking confirmation with a stamp and a signature for your visa application, please contact us at least three days in advance. We will require prepayment for your trip in order to confirm it. In this case, it is unfortunately not possible to offer a refund if your stay is cancelled.

Without a doubt! In addition to the programme we offer in-house, there are lots of shops, sporting events, exhibitions, etc. Ask our hosts at the bar.

Yes! We will give you a free Basel city map when you arrive as well as lots of useful information about popular places to eat well, shop or admire monuments.

Not far! Our hotel is right next to the Basel SBB train station and is within walking distance from the old town and city centre.

Shuttle bus no. 50 will get you from the airport to SBB train station in around 20 minutes and operates round the clock. From there, it is only a few minutes’ walk to reach us.
From SBB train station, take the Gundeldingen exit and from there walk straight down Gempenstrasse until you reach no. 64.

The bus station is a five-minute walk away from us, right next to the entrance to SBB train station, behind the Coop supermarket.

When you arrive, you will receive your ‘Basel Card’, which is a ticket for public transport. You can use this to travel by public transport in Basel for free during your stay.

This isn’t necessary as bus no. 50 will take you directly to the SBB train station, and your reservation will suffice as your ticket.

We have a two parking spaces at extra cost. Please reserve them at an early stage. Otherwise, use the blue zones parkings around the area. The nearest car parks are right by the SBB train station.
